In Your Own Hands
Your hands are meant to hold, to soothe, to offer care—not just to others, but to yourself. This practice is an invitation to meet your body with kindness, to offer touch as an act of love, to remind yourself that you are here, and you are worthy of care.
A Practice of Self-Compassion
Find a quiet space where you can be with yourself. Somewhere warm, somewhere soft. Wear something loose, or nothing at all—whatever makes you feel free.
Close your eyes. Take a breath. Place your hands on your body—your arms, your legs, your chest. Move slowly, with curiosity, with care. Feel the warmth of your own skin, the pulse beneath your fingertips.
Run your hands over your shoulders, down your arms. Across your belly, over your heart. Let your touch be intentional. Not rushed, not absent—fully here, fully felt.
If tension appears, linger there. Breathe into it. Let your hands remind your body that it is safe, that it is loved.
If words come, whisper them. You are enough. You are held. You belong to yourself.
When you’re ready, pause. Rest in the feeling of your own presence. Feel the connection you’ve created. Carry it with you.
